Our Staff

Dr. Andrea Berger, one of our associate veterinarians, received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University in 2002. She started practicing in New York and joined Central in 2005. Dr. Berger is married with four dogs, Tank, Tula, Belekin and Lucky and one cat, Chili.

Dr. Catherine Hedden, one of our associate veterinarians, received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 1996. She has been practicing locally for the last fourteen years and with Central since 2005. In addition to treating dogs and cats, Dr. Hedden also treats rabbits and other pocket mammals. Dr. Hedden is married with two daughters and has one rabbit, Roo, four cats, Kathry, Gammage, Little Miss and Kitty Rose and one dog, Angel.

Jennifer recently joined Central as a customer service representative. She has several years of experience in the industry including grooming. Jennifer has two dogs, Wednesday and Bambi and two cats, King and Mamas.

Diane Bloom, our office manager, has been with Central for over sixteen years. She provides tremendous support, warmth and continuity for clients, their pets and the staff with her y ears of invaluable experience. Diane has two children, two cats, Chippy and Boots and one dog, Oz.

Stefanie Lightner, our lead client service representative, has been with the hospital for over four years. She brings several years of experience working in the industry. Stefanie is married with three sons and multiple dogs and cats.

Tina Souza, one of our client service representatives, has been with the hospital for over six y ears. She worked her way up from assistant to her current position. Tina loves both cats and dogs and has three dogs, Muttlee, Cornbread and Fasha and one cat, Sudeez...

Rof Caprio, one of our technicians, joined Central in September 2008, moving from Denver, CO. He has a DVM from the Philippines and over eleven years of experience in the field, including general and specialty practices. Rof is married with two sons and has two dogs, Moshi and Henna, two cats, Panther and Lynx and one turtle, Crush.

Kristin Firkey, one of our technicians, joined Central in December 2007 and brings many years of industry experience to the technical staff. Krstin is married with two children and one cat, Driedel.

Brian Hamlin recently joined Central as a technician. He brings several years of industry experience including time at the City of San Jose shelter. Brian has a fiancée, Asia, and one dog, Spike.

Erin recently joined Central as a kennel assistant. She brings industry experience and is quickly learning to groom cats and dogs. Erin has a son and three dogs, Poncho, Bailey, and Louise, three horses, Patty, Rooster and Skeet and one cat, Diablo.

Lillian Maciel is our lead kennel assistant and groomer. She has been with us since June 2006 and provides excellent grooming services in addition to managing our kennel. Lillian is engaged and has two cats, Journey and Boogie.

Angelica Castro, one of our assistants, has been with the hospital since May 2006. She provides kennel assistance for our boarders and also grooming services for our furry friends. Angelica has two dogs, Mandy and Two-Face, two cats, Honey and Mac and two parrots, Crackers and Gino.

Liz Heinen, our Hospital Administrator, joined the hospital five years ago. She left a high tech career to work in the veterinary field. Liz is married with three children and two dogs, Kobi and Cooper.
